September 16, 2025 – Batangas State University (BatStateU Alangilan Campus)
The delegation visited Batangas State University (BatStateU), Alangilan Campus, for aninitial courtesy meeting with the Dean, faculty members, directors, and representatives from the Office of Foreign and Internal Affairs, as well as the Colleges of Engineering, Architecture, and Information Technology.Highlights:

• University Presentation: BatStateU shared the updated schedule for On-the-Job Training (OJT) deployment across Alangilan and its satellite campuses (Lobo, Balayan, Mabini).
• Dialogue with Students: An open forum was held where students raised questions regarding overseas internship opportunities, including duration, compensation, accommodation, visa sponsorship, training, and cultural support mechanisms.
• Campus Tour: The program concluded with a guided tour of campus facilities and a brief interaction with an architecture class. Next Steps (BatStateU): BatStateU expressed its strong commitment to advancing the internship initiative. The university aims to begin identifying, from among the companies engaged during recent visits, which firms are prepared to formalize internship partnerships. Once confirmed, the drafting of MOA/MOU agreements will follow. Additionally, in line with CHED requirements for international internships, BatStateU emphasized the need for representatives from the Office of External Affairs to conduct validation visits to the partner companies in Japan. The delegation from Kosouko Co., Ltd., a Japanese company specializing in advanced land and forest surveying technologies, conducted a courtesy visit to the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA). The meeting provided a platform for knowledge exchange and the exploration of potential collaboration opportunities.

NAMRIA introduced its mandate, organizational structure, and ongoing projects in national mapping, hydrography, and geospatial data management. Key initiatives included digital mapping, disaster risk reduction, and sustainable land and resource monitoring.

2. Company Presentation – Kosouko Co., Ltd.
Kosouko presented its corporate profile, highlighting expertise in land surveying, forest resource assessment, and geospatial measurement technologies. The company shared innovative approaches using modern surveying equipment and remote sensing applications that could complement NAMRIA’s existing projects.

3. Question and Answer Session
An open discussion followed, where both parties exchanged insights on technical capacities, data-sharing possibilities, and current challenges in land surveying and resource mapping. Questions were raised regarding technology integration, training opportunities, and potential research partnerships.

4. Discussion of Kosouko Co., Ltd. Objectives Kosouko outlined its objectives in engaging with NAMRIA, which include:
